I am just starting to build my '87 xj. Looking around everywhere for parts to build this thing but I am relatively new. This isnt my first build(1st build was a zuk) but im new to jeeps.
I found a chrysler 8 1/4 rear axel with 4.10 gears, eaton trutrak locker, and disc brake conversion. He also has the matching gears for the front axel for my d30. Wants no less then 500 bucks for all of it. Is this a reasonable deal or should I keep looking?

I personally hate the truetrac lsd and you couldn't pay me to run one. 97 and newere 29 spline 8.25s go for around 100 bucks in my area and unless you plan on running 31s or smaller the 4.10s wouldn't be low enough.

Im going to be running 33's probably unless i can figure out a way to stuff the 36's ive got underneath it (which I doubt). What kind of gears am i going to need to move this?

sounds like a good deal to me if you stick with 35s or smaller 36s might work if your easy on the go pedal
