FWIW Ford still produces their I6, but solely for the industrial market.

I've seen all brands of chips get both good and bad results. Work well or fight with the OEM software tuning. We run a Jet in the 05 Liberty with AEM cold air intake (chipped and chilled). It definately helps the low and midrange, adds +1 - 1.5 to the mpg when driven normally. I've also a buddy with Ford truck, yes I know, I must not be a good friend to let him drive it. He has SuperChp, just sucks with problems and codes. Other bud has SuperC in Chev, he has no problems and likes it. I think it is an unsure science.
