Default Cherokee Speakers

Hey guys,
So I'm new to the forums, but I have been reading for a while and got some awesome tips from people about different mods. One thing I can't find is a thread about putting a third pair of speakers in a Cherokee. Mine is a 95 Country edition, and I have a new head unit, upgraded all the speakers, and I have a 600 Watt Amp powering a 12" ported sub. This has worked great for me, it isn't a obnoxious amount of bass but my speakers can't necessarily keep up with it. I know I should put an amp in to run the speakers, and I'm working on that, but right now I have a third set of 6.5" speakers that are just sitting here that I want to put in somewhere. I was wondering if anyone has any ideas or has put speakers in anywhere that gives a clean look and is mostly out of the way. I have speakers in front door panels, and I also have the stock sound bar up above in the back. Any ideas or advice would be awesome!
Thanks

I've seen a few people add in a second sound bar to add more speakers. I also think that crutchfield sells kick panel speaker enclosures for the front. Although, they were pretty pricey from what I recall. Just some ideas! Good luck!

Thank you, do you think a second sound bar will fit up in the front like above driver headrest area?

They do it for Comanches so I bet you could get it to fit.

It would probably be where the dome light currently sits up front. As I know you have to use the roof brace to secure the center of the sound bar. I just installed one in my 97 in the rear as I only had door speakers. But I think those are the only two braces! Next time I go out, I can check, as I have no headliner!

That would be great, I'm in high school and it's my daily so I can't really rip it apart unless I have a plan. So thanks!

Have you ever seen it? Because I'm kinda tall and I'd be concerned with headroom. But I'm assuming I could just slide it back if the width of the rails is the same all the way to the front. Assuming there are rails in the front. Thanks for the help guys, and I'm not sure if anybody has tried something like this before, but would I need an amp to power another set of speakets? Or could the head unit do it

I haven't in person. I doubt it would work for me though. My hair rubs the roof if I go too long between cuts.

Yah same for me, if I'm really sitting up tall my hair brushes the roof. Do you think there is a place I could build a box to fit in? I have tools to build something like that, just can't think of anywhere. The xj really isn't that big. I'll look into what the comanche's had

I didn't even think about that! Definitely would be a problem especially if you had zj seats like me! I found some picture while searching for Cherokee sound bars, that might give you some ideas.

Wouldn't I need to cut holes in the doors to put the speakers in? Because I've taken my back doors apart and I don't remember a spot for that

I'll look into it, if I find a spot where I can put that and not intrude on headroom I'll do it. Thanks
