So, I have a 89 XJ and me and my son are begining to do some things to "spruce" the ol girl up a bit. I am looking for simple mods (Interior or Exterior) to do without dropping alot of green. Any pics of these items for ideas would be AWESOME!! Here is our first one, saw a full white dash on this forum but worried about glare so we painted the gauge cover white and the rest of the dash flat black... I like it... what do you think?

That looks awesome. I think I'm going to steal that from come spring when its not so cold. You can put cup holders in it, fog lights or you can do a 2" budget boost or build a lift from jy parts.

Trim off the lower valance/end caps below the front bumper. I plan on doing this once we get some decent weather. When you can't afford to add something on, take something off!
Maybe paint the trim/fender flares. A good, cheap project.

Thanks all, I will keep this one going with more pics as I upgrade. I love the idea of "bed lining" the rockers... that WILL happen soon! Pics will come monday!! If you have pics to add or reference me to for anymore ideas... I'd LOVE to see them!
Mechanical (all this can be done with JY parts):
703 injector swap
V8 GC trac bar
GC brake booster
Durango steering box
Interior:
Swap the center console from a 97+ into yours (gives you cup holders)
Grab the over head sound bar for the rear if yours doesn't have one
The netting out of ext cab Rangers/B2000's makes great door pockets
Exterior:
Paint (rockers, flares, rims, etc)
Hood vents
Smoked tail lights
CF sticker
Hitch/recovery points

FROM JUNK YARD
You can also put grand cherokee front seats and rear 40/60 bench.
Do the 99+ intake upgrade.
Depending on what your rear axle is. If you have the D35 you can swap to the chrysler 8.25 (direct fit), if you have the 8.25 you can pull carrier and shafts from a 97+ and upgrade your 27 spline to a 29 spline.

Most of the dash can be painted fairly easily, then color cordinate the inside (seat covers, handles, ashtray, floor mats) Lots of little things on the inside you can take off and paint depending what color/look you are going for
