I'm about to buy another jeep after blowing up my first one and it needs a tc but I know nothing about 4x4 really so I wanted to know how much it would run me for an ax-15 trans and a tc and what kind of transfer case I should look for and since I'm switching from an auto trans to manual is there anything else ill need to do? The heep itself is only going to cost me 800 bucks someone please help me out I wanna get muddy as soon as possible

What's wrong with the transmission?
To swap from auto to manual you'll have to graft a slave master cylinder into the firewall, add a clutch pedal and swap the computer.
"You'll need:
AX-15 -- external slave model preferred
23 spline NP231 (although the NP242 fits, I advise against that)
Flywheel, flywheel bolts, clutch, clutch cover bolts
Throwout arm, throwout bearing, pilot bushing
Manual transmission crossmember and transmission mount
Master/Slave hydraulics unit
Brake/Clutch pedal assembly
4wd rod (to connect handle to tcase -- the length is different)
Driveshafts from a manual tranny
Shifter boot
Bellhousing to Block bolts (at the least, get rid of the torx ones at the top)
dust shields between the tranny & block"
To fix the t-case all ya have to do is swap in a t-case. I could tell ya more about that but I have no clue what year this Jeep is.

I can't remember it might be a 95ish... And the trans might be fine but I really want a 5spd eventually also just an estimate how much do you think it'll cost me all together?

The deals are definitely out there.. I just picked up a 98 Cherokee 2dr 5spd that I have no idea what I plan to do with yet (trail rig, parts truck, new daily driver), but it was only $300.
