Changing Odometer Color
I removed my interior to install a few things and make some changes. One thing I've been wanting to change is the color of the odometer in my 2000. By putting colored photography gels in front of the odometer one can change the color a bit.
I didn't do any scientific tests, but I was able to get pink, teal, and orange using gels from a sample photo gel pack I had for a photography class assignment. The results will always be darker than that original, but I think the odometer is normally pretty bright.
I'm going with orange... honestly didn't experiment much after getting orange, since that's what I was going for. It matches the needles well.
I'm mounting it with some 3M double sided permanent mounting tape between the odometer and the back of the cluster face. I'll use a thin metal pick to put pressure on the tape.

Thats pretty cool! The only non-blue lighting in my car is the odometer. I'll have to try to match the blue sometime, but I assume it will kill the brightness a bit.
Orange looks sick though.
