Default center console/air line to vent

Hey y'all, so I want to take the center console out of my 93 2 door cherokee. Basically everything from the stick back id like to cut out. But as I was taking it apart today I saw that there is the air line for the vent. Can I just cut that out? or has anyone else done this?

What is your Plan for the remainder of the console? Are you going to just cut it off at the back of the stick or just remove it altogether? I guess in either case you could just cover up the opening of the vent where the hard plastic air line attaches. You might also be able to attach some flexible hose and re-route the air down towards your feet if you wanted to.

Ill post pictures of where I'm gonna cut it off tomorrow, when its light. But id like to maybe do the ammo can center console I think that'd be pretty cool. Also, if I did that then it'd leave room between the seats and the parking brake to put in a custom drink holder.

I originally had the "mini console" (its just a shifter cover and a seperate e-brake cover.) There was no plastic iar duct, so you should be fine. I have since put in a center console and did not even install it.
