Thinking About a Tru-Trac for my 8.25
I have a 29 spline 8.25" that sees 90% street. It has open diffs now and I hate it. I Lose traction on a perfectly warm day around turns from a stop. I wanna do 33s soon and i want some extra help in the mud and trails. I hear detroits are durable and everything and its a full carrier replacement. But hows it act street wise? I see snow, rain, sun, mud. I may be a little throttle happy also. What should I be expecting?

Not 100% sure but trac-loc is what the stock clutch style LSD is called. The only LSD that I know of that Eaton-Detroit manufactures is the True-trac, which is a torque biasing, gear driven LSD, and in my opinion the only one worth having.

i love the tru trac. ive put in 8 of them in tj's,cherokees and libertys over the last few years, no special additives required and no clutches to wear out, its a win win unless you need a full on locker

Yeah, the muddy buddys jeep wrangler club is a wrangler style specific jeep club based out of the dayton area, my stepdad is one of the 4 founding members, allthough you cant join the club with a cherokee, many of the events are open to jeeps of all types, and you can join the forum. Www.muddybuddys.net is the website
