Default Which cat to get?

So, with Minnesota winters my muffler/cat has rotted out completely so I'm looking to replace ASAP. I've got a 99 sport btw

Here's the kit I'm gonna gethttp://performance-curve.com/84-01cherokee25tailpipe-1.aspx , but I'm just a little confused on which cat to get. I don't have to worry about passing any inspections but it'd be nice to keep everything legal

Soo which cat would you guys recommend to pair with my set up? Thanks!

Also, would you guys rather go with flowmaster 40 or 44? Any real differences that you can tell?

I'm happy with FM 40, but I don't think 44 is worse or something.. I would recommend getting a high-flow magnaflow cat, that's what I will be doing when I got the money . IMO, it sounds better than no cat.

Get a high flow spun car from the same site you linked above.... He had a thread in the vendor section about what he recommends. Ships real fast too! I'll try to find it for ya. The 44 can take more of a beating than the 40. The 40 is supposed to flow marginally better. Sound is a little different. Doubt you would feel a performance difference between the two. .

I bumped it so it should be near the top of the vendor forum listings for you. ( don't know how to copy/paste from app) lol

Thanks for the replies.

I'll probably end up getting that cat with the flowmaster 44

Actually, if I was to order http://performance-curve.com/2goerli...214-1-2-1.aspx this cat like he recommends would I need to get a coupling to connect the stock exhaust to the cat?

Yup or order the 2.25 one http://performance-curve.com/2goerli...i608214-1.aspx. He has a discount code I believe for the forum as well.

I am 99% sure stock size is 2 1/4. You could always measure it to be sure but the 2.25 one should weld right up for you.

The only problem is I think the thunderbolt does not work well with OBDII which is why he recommends the one I linked.

I ended up ordering that one so everything should go pretty smoothly. I'll post results and maybe a video of it if I'm not too lazy...
