Can anyone recommend a good electric impact gun?
This is slightly off-topic and so I thought about posting it in the off-topic forum but nothing in there at all seems to be 'tech' oriented so this seemed like the better forum.
Anyhow, I'm in the market for an electric impact gun. I've got an air powered one but there are times where I would like an electric one (doesn't matter if it needs to be plugged into the wall or is cordless) so I don't have to **** people off in the middle of the night when my air compressor decides to start going.
I'd like one that has a decent amount of torque so I can remove some of those engine bolts that are on there pretty damn good. That being said, the more powerful the better.
Just looking to hear your guys thoughts and opinions on what's worked for you. Don't want to waste my money on something that's unreliable or underpowered.
Thanks!

My buddy bought the Milwuakee impact/drill set for work and it has been a huge help on the trail and when we wrench on my rig. I swapped out wheels with the impact and it only needed a small amount of torquing to get the lug nuts to 100ft-lbs.

I've got a Snap-On cordless one and a Dewalt plug in one and for the prices on them my buddy has a harbor freight one that has a serious amount of ***** better than either of mine.

I got a Ryobi one, cordless. Works great for me and its 18v One+ battery is awesome, when I go out at night I can bring my spotlight, tire compressor and the impact gun and all use the same battery.

My bud has it and I have used it before, he works for dodge and this is the only impact besides one only air powered impact that will drive ball joints on the 2500 rams. Never let him down

I have a 18v dewalt 1/2 impact wrench it works but not good enough for the junk yard, I also have the rigid 18v impact driver that works pretty damn good haven't had too many problem with. The craftsman 1/2 wrench cordless suck battery drains too fast it worse then my impact driver. The ingersoll is cheaper then the snap on and had promo for three batteries for around 425. The milwaukee 1/2wrench and impact driver are nice ones also. But nothin like the 780lbs and 1100lbs that the ingersoll puts out.

I bought a Goodyear 18 volt cordless from JC Whitney almost a year ago. It will remove lug nuts that I can't get off with a breaker bar. I go to the JY once a month & it lasts all day.
It was $130 shipped but now you can find it at Pep boys or similar for around $90.

Funny you should mention that!! I've been thinking about getting one to go to U-Pick-It. I need the leaf spring, ya know. I think you should come up and meet me at the JY. Oh, and bring your Ryobi..........

I have the snap on 3/8 14.4v no-cad, the snap-on 3/8 18v li-ion, snap-on 1/2 li-ion, and Milwuakee M18 1/2in.
The snapon blows the Milwuakee away on power and weight. And I have seen a impact the can compare to my new 3/8 li-ion impact, its just nasty.
Better to buy American the Chinese anyways lol.
