Calling all jeepers with roof lights
So quick question I'm going to put 4 off road lights onto my stock roof rack cross rail and i was wondering what you guys/girls have done to wire them into the cab/ i don't want to go through my door or window and i would prefer no to drill a hole into my roof, but if i do i would like to put it somewhere hidden and out of the way. ANY IDEAS/SUGGESTIONS?

If you run it to the front of the gutters it can go in through the corner and doesn't pinch. You shouldn't be using a thick enough gauge wire where it's an issue anyway.
I ran mine the way described above into the side molding inside, down that into the back of the dash and then just ran through the firewall.
If you're not willing to drill or go through the doors you're totally out of luck.

can you elaorate on said roof gasket??
I have a 2door with a sound bar from the junk yard, the ends are secure in the lips on the sides but theres NO support for the middle. I was thinking of drilling a hole with a couple washers to support the middle thru the roof and was just going to use some silicone to keep the water out.
I know water is a **** and didnt wanna open a can of worns until I was 100% sure..

I was going to wire mine through the rear hatch where the rear defrost wires run through the body to the door. My defrost doesn't work well so I was gonna try and use it's wiring, but I ended up taking off the roof rack I had.

I did this to a buddies xj.
Take off the roof rack completely. Once removed located the screw hole where the rack was mounted closest to your lights you're mounting. Drill through using progressively larger drill bits. Eventually you'll take out the threads as well. In the interior take off the sun visor and the plastic trim all along the headliner on the drivers side. Get your fingers under the headliner and pull down slightly enough so you can feel the hole you drilled. Slide the wires through, under the headliner, under the plastic trim and under the door weatherstripping to behind your dash. Put a dab of silicone in the hole to make sure no water gets in and put the rack back on. You'll still have at least 4 screws on that side and at least 5 on the other so it will definitely stay on plus you won't ever see those wires.
