I have a 95 cherokee. It has an exhaust leak coming from the collector of the stock manifold. If I'm gonna replace it I wanna put headers on it. I've looked at several other threads about putting headers on and checked your links, but none of them say cali legal or have a CARB number. I called apn and they said they are legal, but don't have a CARB number so it depends on who I take it to for smog if they'll pass it or not. Anyone know a CARB legal header that isn't crap and won't break my bank?

I'm in the same boat as you. Except, I bought my APN and I'm ready to install it. My XJ passes smog with the cracked header, I don't see why the APN would make a difference. It's a direct fit for the stock/bent down pipe.

The issue is the visual inspection. You can fail even if it tests fine.

Exactly, there's no real smog issue with them other than they are missing that stupid sticker

JBA has CARB legal headers if you need one. I haven't tested without CARB legal parts so I don't know how much trouble they'd give you for it.

I ended up just going with the APN header. They can suck it. Haha. Emissions aren't affected by it so if they fail me I'll take it somewhere else.
