lol YEA I have heard that! ha, ha.

No seriously I think the km2's would be awesome for 90 percent of the jeep owners out there. I run on slick trails. tsl's suck where I run for instance. But that is probably the next tire I get. Because I am familiar with tire grooving Then the tsl's actually work decent.

I currently run 33x12.50 Dura Tracs on my XJ and love them. They have done great so far on and off road. I'm really surprised how quite they are on road.

I've ran Dunlop mud rovers in the past. They were a good tire and find wear down fast but they have fairly weak sidewalls. There might have been a tree stump go through one of mine.
Pro comp MTs were ok. They wernt a bad tire but I've ran better.
I did not like my Mickey Thompson baja claws. They wore out fast and really wernt that impressive off road.
I liked my TrXus MTs. They were a great tire off road but wore out pretty quick on road.

Whatever you get just remember regular tire rotations.

KM2 is a good tire, ran a 31 on my first xj, and a 35 on my toyota.
My last xj had 33" km1s..which are rare since they only make them in select sizes now but are a GREAT tire. I almost prefer the km1s over the km2s. Both get good mileage out of them, and are good in almost any situation..other than wet streets.

Hell no. Its a slip and slide on a wet road with them.

Its really not horrible..but its pretty common with mud tires..they just dont perform well on wet roads.

Dick cepek fun countries(don't ask me why, lol)
none of those tires you mentioned ever impressed me. the only tires that have made me say "wow" (when wheeling in group, when one guy has a certain tire and conquers an obstacle MUCH easier than others in similarly built rigs)

maxxis creepy crawlers
bfg krawler reds
mickey thompson MTZs

maxxis comp treps are also an awesome tire but i've never been in a situation to compare them to another tire on a similar rig side by side. i've seen them in comps quite a bit and been in races with guys who run them, but a rig set up for racing is a much different animal. one of my buddys runs em but i havent wheeled with him more than once since he got them.

i run MTZs, they impressed me with wear on road, puncture resistance, and grip many times over before i convinced myself to get them. creepies are awesome but you cant get more than 12-15k road miles out of them if you're lucky.

as far as mud/dirt goes, i was stuck on a hill pulling cable with 38.5" creepies on my buddys race XJ while dudes with krawlers just powered right up. maxxis and mud dont get along.

^^True..siping will make the mud tires behave better on wet roads.

Creepy Crawlers and BFG Krawlers (Stickies) are just too damn much
Locally a place sells 35" mtz blems for 200 a piece..This may be my next tire.

I have the Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revos which do very well on very wet roads and are very quiet, the Firestone Destination M/Ts are also nice tires.

Small cuts at the edge of the tires made for better water evacuation to help wet weather handling
