buying seperateparts for lift kit?
i have a 1989 Jeep Cherokee. im planning on doing some work on it to make it look better. I would like to know if its cheaper to buy a lift kit with all the parts included or buying everything seperate. i was thinking about buying the kits that come with the bolts and all that and the springs buy them 4 inches and add 2 more inches with spacers. the leaf springs and the shocks buy them seperately or if they both come in a kit then buy them.
i just dont know which way to go. i want to spend less then 500 for a kit.

If you are going to put all new stuff on then a kit is the best way to go, if you dont mind going used search for "bastard pack" also look on craigslist for someone selling lift kits a lot of people upgrade so they sell the old. Adding spacers/shackles is no problem a lot of people do this when adding tire carriers, winches, and heavy bumpers.

it's gonna be hard to spend less than 500 for a kit, if you want to go that high your also going to need other parts such as: adj. track bar, control arms, drop pitman arm, break exstensions. i would just save up and get a kit that comes with all of this
