Hey guys. I have all original suspension in my 2001 xj (except the shocks). My leafs are flat in the back but it looks like she sits about level. I wanna get a BB such as the $80 Fat Bob's kit. Is it okay to do shackles on flat springs and pucks up front? Oh, I'm looking at the 2" kit.

Yea that is ok, but it will continue to sag until your leaf springs are inverted. In which case you would want to invest in some new springs. Look at my pics and you will see what i mean.

Now, did you have to replace the shocks? And mine aren't inverted... just flat

Nope, I still have the stock shocks. And your leafs will become inverted eventually. Gravity is a b****

and build a rear bastard pack. you would run around the same $80 still but you wouldn't have to worry as much about the rear leaves inverting from age....

stock leafs are pretty close to flat stock... measure from the wheel hub to the bottom of the fender flare... it should measure around 17"
