brush guard mounting?

brush guard mounting?
I have an 01 cherokee sport, i found a late 90s cherokee w a brush guard on it that id like to pull off, my question being, do they all mount to the same spot where the tow hooks are? Where its located on the 90s looks slightly more narrow then my 01. Sorry for the bad description im on my phone!

Should mount the same. Exactly how it mounts will depend on the brush gaurd. But the XJs themselves have the same mounting points and hardware.
