Default brown dog motor mounts

Got the driver side on but was wondering if there were any tricks on how to help get the crossbolt through the passanger side.

Keep everything loose until all the bolts are in place, and use a jack to move the motor up/down to line it up.

They really should just fall into place, I removed my belt a took the 4 bolts out of the AC compressor and it gave me the extra room I needed. Don't forget the washers!!

There is a gap between the motor mount and engine bracket. Use a prybar on top of mount (fulcrum) and catch the bracket with end of prybar. Easy and effective. Motor should also be supported from underneath!

If using a floor jack on the pan always use a 2x to spread the weight and protect the pan.

Thank you for the replies!

I have the jack under the pan w/ small 2x4s supporting the pan. I have been able to get the hight but the mount is kind of twisted in the location...
I can get the bolt to feed in on the oil adapter side, but the other side is crooked...

Should I keep the driver side mounting bolts(to the body) loose? Should I take out the cross bolt on the driver as well?

Basically, should I have the 2 mounting bolts loose and cross bolt on driver side out?
It took me 3 hours and 2 bits to get the driver side body mounting bolt screwed out because the stationery nut was seized....

Keep all the mounts loose until they are all in position. This includes the transmission mount if you didn't loosen it up.

Tranny mount is loose.

Im going to bolt loosely the feet of the mounts on the driver so hopefully it aligns.

After drilling out one of the foot bolts my brain went to mush on how to accurately position the bolts.

Should I keep the driver side cross bolt in? Or take it out?

Got it in! Now I noticed my header leak is literally smoking out of the crack at the collector!
