I have a 01 Cherokee sport automatic. It’s well modified every where except the engine. It overheated today after about 45 minutes of driving. It was all the way at 260 on the temp giraffe. When I got out at work there was oil all down the left side of the passenger side of the engine. I know a little about the 4.0s but was just wondering if anyone had more knowledge on wether or not there is correlation with the two. Thanks

See if your head has cracked. Look down into the oil fill hole in the valve cover.

Oil down the passenger side of the engine would make me think oil filter and/or the oil adapter O-rings. How low was the oil on the dipsitck.
