Bilstein 5160 5-6" lift fitment
I posted this over at NAXJA, but figured I would give it a go here as well.
Can you or has anybody run the 5160s spec'ed for TJs with 5-6" of lift in an XJ with 5-6" of lift? I have looked all over for this answer for quite some time now and I have found no real world experience on the internets. I don't see why not, as some other Bilstein shocks cross over between these 2 Jeep models. For example:
The 5100 series uses the exact same shock (PN 24-185943) in the front for TJs and XJs with 5-6" lift, yet Bilstein only lists the 5160 (PN 25-187809) for TJs with 5-6" lift.
The 5100 shock has a collapsed length of 16.97" and 28.44" extended.
The 5160 shock has a collapsed length of 16.44" and 28.39" extended.
Is there a reason the 5160s are not spec'ed by Bilstein for XJs? The collapsed length is shorter, therefore this would not cause a fitment issue.
Any of you guys have any insight on this? My XJ has a 5-6" long arm lift and I would love to run these up front.

Thanks for the quick reply Frank. I thought I would post up anyway considering others out there will most likely have the same question about these shocks.
Frank says they'll fit!
