Bike rack tire carrier
Hey guys I have recently acquired a nice bike rack that slips into a receiver for $20. The problem is its a round tube design and I cant quite figure out how to mount the wheel. I have an old hub assembly that I could use but I'm unsure how to mix the 2.
Here's the bike rack if it helps...I plan on cutting it down as much as possible to keep as much rear visibility as I can. Any suggestions would help

I bought this one from Walmart.

I think I paid somewhere around $75 for it.
Is very sturdy, and actually bolts to the receiver so that it doesnt wobble.
I use mine for bikes, but I thought about getting an extra one for the XJ to fab a spare tire onto. It uses box tubing, and seems strong enough to hold a spare tire. One might consider strengthening the gusset at the bottom though. Not sure how much weight it would hold, but they do make a model that holds 5 bikes, that looks stronger at the bottom.
It pivots back so you can lift the tailgate, but doesnt pivot all the way to the ground.
