heres my 4" maybe 4.5" lift first couple is of the jeep with 33s same lift and last ones are 35s same lift.
if you do clearanceing and bump stop rubbing is a non issue.

Buy a 3" lift and additional 1.5" spacers and shackles. If you like 3" keep it at 3" and sell the spacers and shackles if you wanna go higher put the spacers and shackles in. Problem solved.

Ill throw a pic of mine in here, just to give you an idea of what can be done. 1.5" lift and 33" tires. Very low and very functional offroad, has better flex than a stock XJ, and the tires dont rub, even with my minimal trimming. Mine is the closer Jeep to the camera.

New 39.5 Iroks, unknown inches of lift.
Have another jeep in my yard with 30 inch roller tires and a 3.5 inch lift and my jeep is only 2-3 inches taller...
Tie downs are holding it a tad lower than ride height but I dont have a current side pic of it since the front axle is in the garage.

Anyone fit a long arm kit to less than 4"? Also how do you guys keep your coils from popping out? For you guys running 37"+ tires what gear ratio are you guys running? I've always wanted a low cog xj haha

Its the same as any other swap, you just have to pay attention to where stuff is going a little more since its not a bolt on swap.
aside from that its a bit easier imo since you have more axle tube to work with compared to swapping in something like an 8.8
Im running 538s, with 37s and 538 that puts you back at stock ratio. with 39s the ratio sucks and dual cases or a 4:1 is a must.
I wanna see some xjs on something like a 3.5 inch lift and 35s

me and my brother built them 1/2 round stock with supports to the frame rock sliders and bumpers. then sheet metaled over the top. took some time to do but only cost $35.
Im happy with the strength Ive pulled a tree out with one of the front fenders and have even stood on them 235lbs
