I have been searching the threads but haven't found a definitive answer. Are there any mods or fixes that will result in better mpg.

My 2000 jeep is stock. I have 225/75 r13 tires. I'm pretty easy on my gas pedal. I do have a high pitch whistle while I'm driving which I have found out is a leaky intake/exhaust gasket. Love my xj hate my mpg

Umm from my experience not really. A k&n filter or upgraded air intake will help it inhale better and freeing up exhaust will help it exhale better but you wont see a huge increase or anything. Some people say upgraded injectors help but I dont have any experience with that. If your running larger tires swapping gears will help but thats about it. Dont waste your money on any "performance chips" they dont to anything.

Fix exhaust leak, tune up, Bored throttle body ( strokedjeep.com ), aftermarket muffler, etc.
