Frankly the brakes on my stock Cherokee '97 sport are crap are there any good after market replacements that do the job better ?
If you have large amounts of $$$ to spend. I cant find the link now and swore i had it bookmarked but idk. I think wilwood did/does have a big brake kit for the front. Teraflex has a drum to disc conversion for the rears. That would make the biggest difference getting both those but that could come out to $2,000.
There's the WJ front swap. It has a 2 piston caliper. You can do a rear disc conversion. The Teraflex requires no mods. Just bolt on. But you can source it cheaper thru jy. You have to modify back plate tho. Doing the JY route will prob cost ya $100-150 w/o new brake pads.
Big brake kits request 17" rims.
What I'm doing is EBC slotted rotters up from and brake pads and the Teraflex kit in the back. It's about the best you'll get. Gotta live it. It's a XJ.
