Default Best Xj sye?

Tex return came in and have a few extra g's to spend on the ol' Xj.
Plan is 5.5-6.5ish lift.. Already been ordering/collecting parts for that.
Now I'm going to order a sye before I start putting anything under the jeep.

There's quite a few sye's to chose from, and I'm not sure which to get. I have a front DS from a 89' 4.0/5speed/231 Xj that I was planning on using. I'm not interested in HnT type sye's

If you were to buy one, which would it be and why?

Search function dosnt seem to work with my iPhone, and I'm out of town at work for 3 weeks so a computer is not an option. Trust me, I tried.
I work 14-17hrs a day and dont have time to flip threw countless pages of threads looking for one that is related to what I need. Thanks for the helpful advice though..

The search function never seems to work for anybody. Try just googling "jeep cherokee xj best sye" or something along those lines.

I had an advanced adapters sye installed a month or so ago and all has gone smoothly. Only reason I bought it was because my buddy sold it to me so I can't speak about any other products

The search on the app has always had a bug or two, Sorry for that inconvenience.

As earlier stated, just try using Google then read through the different reviews to help you decide on one within your budget and desired usage.

Believe you are correct. Usually need one out of a 4.0/Auto. ZJ front shaft will work with the same engine/tranny configuration as well.

Default Best Sye

Go with advance adapters. I think it's like 200 bucks. You'll hear really good things around the forum about it.

OP if you want the best SYE you might as well get a strong DS to go with it.

the best (or rather, the only one that differs from the rest) is JB conversions with their special no-bind yoke. I have installed 3 and recommended much more. best step by step directions I've read so far too. can't go wrong! but it took 3 weeks to get it to the west coast.

if you're not going to buy the JB conversions, just go straight on over to the seriousoffroad.com website. great deal for a great SYE. the directions weren't as user friendly but then again I was a few beers deep

as for driveshaft, I still say don't bother buying one. I railed the ***** out of some junk yard drivelines all up and down the trails in norcal and Nevada. with the SYE you should be able to run the exact same driveline front and rear. so just go to the junk yard and pick up 2 more fronts that are about the same length and carry a spare. if you have a problem it's 8 bolts and $30 to fix. if you want a beefed driveline go get your stock one retubed and replace a ujoint or two and call it a day

Just curious how many good used DS you can find in Alaska? Hell I can't even find a decent one here at U Pull it.

The junk yard usually charge near new price for parts here.

Fortunately there tons of jeeps here, and people are regularly parting them out on CL.

I ended up ordering a rugged ridge sye, new for right at $160 with free shipping to AK... Couldn't pass it up.

So you guys think I'll need a longer DL? The xj I'm building is a 91 4.0/5speed/231.
I have a 89 4.0/5speed/231 and a 91 4.0/aw4/231 parts rigs I can pull the front DL from. If those are to short, finding a DL from a zj shouldn't be to hard to do.
