Best Off-Road Tires for the Buck
Going to 35". My friends run BFG 35-12.50-15 MT's which is what I was wanting to buy next. Now I hear BFG has stopped making this size. Really don't want to go with the added expense of buying 17" wheels. Running Goodyear 33" now. Might just stay with Goodyear but have lost 2 tires due to sidewall punctures. What are your thoughts? Thanks, John

Maxis big horns or goodyear dura tracks are priced cheaper and are both great options in a 35". The dura tracks are a heavier ply tire in that size and maxxis has a great reputation and tread design similar to the proven original mt/r

I run mastercraft course mxt on the jeep and on my truck I just got a set of kenda klevers. Only had em for a few days but so far so good. 285/75/16s, 10 ply.. good tread pattern. The mastercrafts are 32x11.5r15 and have about 8k miles on them and they still measure factory specs on tread depth. They do very well in muck. Mild highway noise..but it's there. Not sure about snow/ice...ice sure they stink like most MTs...

If you want bang for the buck you might check these out (Gladiator GR9000-M/T), I paid $639 for (5) 33's of them mounted, balanced, stems, out the door. As I recall they had them in 35's also here is a photo.

I have had them on for 2 1/2 yrs. and only ruined one of them when a small tree someone had cut at an angle right beside the trail about 1 3/4" in dia. tore through my sidewall running 15 psi. Some people
These tires have preformed very well on and off road in snow, mud, rocks, loose dirt, gravel, rain. I needed a tire that did several different terrain's well not excellent and not 1 or 2 excellent at $300 a pop knowing what I run over at times where we go.
I bought these tires locally but they are sold Nationally by Friend Tire Company and they deliver in their trailers with a big Indian Head on the side of them all over the country to local dealers. The company's main office/warehouse is located here where I live. I bought mine from a dealer where I have bought tires for a long time.

This will be my next set... I have no experience with them, but for the price im gona give them a shot... also with only lifting 3 inches, im thinking that a 32x11.50 may fit better that a 33x12.50...
