I think you're the first person I've seen with the Super Kit.

I agree. That's a pricey setup. Does it make a difference/Is it worth it?

The only reasons I know of is additional clearance on the header side, and being able to use additional mounting points if one of the originals is broken. I bought the base package and figured I'd buy the Super Kit brackets if and when I have the need. If there's other reasons for them, I'd like to know too.

I also have the full kit. I dont know if its worth it or not. It is certainly stronger/more solid but I dont know of anybody's stock ones ripping off. I just did it with the Stroker just in case lol.

I also have the full kit. I simply liked the extra confidence of the beefier brackets. I have no reason to believe my stock brackets would ever have been a problem, but now I don't even have to consider it. Since I was swapping engines (and the new block didn't come with brackets), it made it more attractive not to have to deal with swapping over the old brackets.

Investing in the Jeep is money well spent.

Has anyone used the Flow Daddy's from Rusty's? Been thinking about those as they are more reasonably priced than others for my '01.

I ordered something from Rusty's once. It cost $20 for shipping. I didn't even end up using it. I mailed it off to another guy at a significant price cut. However I made my money back on the shipping. It cost me four stamps and an envelope to send it to the next guy.......

I'm running the APN on my 99. No fitment issues at all.

For a daily driver, you can't beat it. I cleaned it and sprayed it with header paint and put it in. Took 2 hours.

What install issues is everyone referring to? I have a mid year 99, has the 632 head, with the HO intake manifold. Fit like a glove.

Part number for the header i have 99 too. I keep hearing you have to bash the tube and or grind the intake to make it it fit.

On my 99 I had to beat the top of the #6 tube with a hammer to flatten it out a bit because it was hitting the bottom side of my intake and would not let the header mount flush on the cylinder head.

X2 had the same problem beat #6 tube, ground down the intake on both 1 and 6, didn't like the amount that need to be removed especially on 6. I've done one on a 98 that was a apn and had to slightly grind down 1 and 6. And a Gibson on a 95 with nothing, bolt on and go.

I got them for around the same price as the ones andrew posted, and those are straight stainless steel. Curious about the JBA titanium ceramic coated, though, but that's alot of coin, LOL
I am having to replace my 'speed daddy' eBay header (seemed like a good cheaper header from researching) after only 3k miles and am leaning towards the Gibson header and was wondering if you ever got yours up and running and have a long term report. Thanks.

Here's a pic of my 3k miles speed daddy header.

I'm glad you posted this, as I completely forgot about this thread...I stated in my earlier post I would report back.

Here goes:

I have run these for several months and several thousand miles. Nothing but good to say about them. Perfect fitment. I am running a 4.6 stroker. Sounds killer, and the performance has been top notch. Zero issues. IF you buy these, install according to directions, and make sure your mounts are good (both motor and trans), I foresee zero issues. Excellent product from a great company, I had some issues when smogging here in Cali, due to the fact that the sticker they sent fell off, and was needed to pass smog, the company rep not only sent me a new sticker free of charge, but talked to the smog ref and got me passed no issue. So, in a nutshell, great product, excellent customer service, and one satisfied customer.
