Looking to wire up a switch on my KC lights. Wire that they give me for the ground is only about 14" long. If I mount the switch on either side of my steering wheel where is the closest ground that will work for me?

I would assume there is one near the fuse panel on the driver side under the dash?

theres several down where your pedals are and another behind the kickpanel drivers side but the ones near the pedals are fine, ive got my aux lights switch grounded there

anywhere you see steel. run a self tapper through it and call it a day

any need to use a file and scrape paint off? Or is the black finish typically a "bare finish" like what you see on the inside of the engine bay etc.
