1993 cherokee country, dana 30 35 (here we go again) 4.0 231. Im gonna lincon lock the rear this weekend (give me an excuse to swap out). It came with a rubicon express 4.5 full lift and 33x12.5 interco m/t's! All it needed for it to run was a new distributor and fired right up. Sometimes all you need to know is what to replace! More to come. (I took that pic this morning at a warm 19 degrees! gotta love alaska)

looking for a stock 44 for this guy, there becoming harder and harder to find at salvage yards now. Considering an 8.8 as an alternative, any thoughts? (I know its c-clip and all but is worth a thought right?) No rocks here so strenght is not as big of an issue. You cant break anything on ice, well as long as you keep it between the diches!

 

Check craigs list Chicago, theres a guy here in chicago, has a TON of danas and other hd axle combos from as little as $50.00 complete.

 

if thats the case a 29 spline 8.25 should be a lot easier to find and way less work than putting in a 8.8 and should work fine for you...
