After doing tons of reasearch I decided on a 5.5" lift kit for my cherokee. The only problem is I don't know where I should get it from. People have told me rough country had one but I looked and it was not listed on the website. So far the cheapest kit I found was on Iron Rock. Im goin with a long arm kit also. So if anyone has any info on the best place to buy a 5.5 lift, it would be apperciated. thanks

What size tires do you plan on running? What axles? What do you do with your jeep (trail rig, DD, weekend warrior)? Do you want to trim? Iron Rock makes so good stuff.

i would go with rubicon express, that is if you can find a lift since they closed or if you have the money clayton makes one sick very well built lift only problem its either 4.5 or 6.5 so just throw 1" spacers and shackles on it

just get something with a true 4 or 3 link long arm setup... not saying that y link is bad, just saying why? when there are better things out there for the same or even less

There is a dana30 in the front and crystler 8.25 in the rear, I was planning on running 33" tires with minimal trim of the fenders, and I use the jeep everyday but plan on doing some off roading on the weekends.Originally Posted by jcwclm

a rustys long arm kit for your truck will be perfect for your application. it gives amzing ride and control and will give you great flex on the trails. im sure it will last you a long time.

I have the 5.5 IRO long arm kit on my xj and love it. It is an awesome kit and it really performs well. I drive my xj on the road a lot and it handles quite well, never really had any issues with it. If you decide to go with that kit you won't be disappointed, it is definitely high quality stuff.

look into staangs fab. very well built set that will outlast your jeep.
virtually the same as claytons kit (only better)
.
eric's chit just keeps getting better and better. the holy grail of longarm xj suspension.
buy his arms and use any coils you want. both him and i run skyjacker 8 inch coils.

Clayton. Spend the money. You wont regret it. Beefiest control arms on the market. Very complete kit and when you call there Clayton actually answers the phone. I called to get some measurement info for the arms on my 4.5 kit, and I ended up talking to him for 15 minutes about his breakdown in last year's King Of Hammers
