Best 3 inch lift
Ok first my jeep is 2wd. Don't tell me i don't need to lift it or anything like that please. I want to go 3 inches and run 31's and I'm looking to wonderful Cherokee forum to tell me first the best lift and then if they have had any problems from the lift like driveline vibrations and all that good stuff. Second what's the cheapest all terrain type tire that will last the longest I'm looking at the bfg all terrain or the Goodyear wrangler authority that Walmart carries. I know everyone has there own story and opinion and I want them so please share thanks!

I have wranglers on now, I really like them for the price, destination A/T's are a pretty decent cheap tire too

I did research for about a week to get the right info, I'm a nervous buyer when things are over $300

What year jeep are you talking about? I don't know anything about lifting 2wd vehicles but with 4wd the newer ones tend to be more prone to driveline vibrations and a t-case drop isn't going to help you (since you don't have one).

Post some pics of your XJ so we can see if you need AAL or full packs. My front measured 17.5" and my rear measured 17" when I did my suspension, so I went with AAL as those are what the stock heights should be (middle of center cap to bottom of fender flare)
I got the Rough Country 3" AAL Series I kit, $266 shipped. Mine is also a 2wd. I've got no driveline vibes all the way up to 75mph, so all is well. I did have a small drop or two of trans fluid everytime I turned the car off, coming from the rear transmission seal. With the new angle of the driveline from the suspension, it's more like 5-6 drops everytime I turn the car off. Just something you might want to watch out for, as it seems fairly common. Not a tough fix though, just need a new seal.
Other than that, I'd go for the BFG AT TA KOs. A guy I work with also works at Discount Tire. He has them on his Avalanche and when I was asking about all sorts of other tires, he said they often come back with defects, or people are unhappy due to loud road noise. The BFG A/Ts have great manners all around, other than mud
