what are the benefits of a snorkel? i want to build one but i want to know what all the benefits to havin one,or the disadvantages of them,if there is any lol,and whats best one to make? cowl or traditional way? or any other kind

 

mostly used for folks that like to take there rigs for a swim... snorkle puts the air inlet (air filter) to your engine higher dont really hear of any disadvantages of having one other then if you have the filter exposed to rain

 

well i realized i needed one after i took it down a black dirt road and found big mud holes,so i went through them,i didnt know if should get a fishin pole or go through it
