Hard to tell in that pic on my phone... but if there is 35 psi in that tire with the beadlock ring off, the person who mounted it is an idiot. The tire goes between the 2 rings that clamp down on the bead.

Find me a law saying wheels must be dot approved, or beadlock wheels are illegal to run on the street and you will win. There is a thread on pirate4x4 made by rockstomper beadlocks who offered a prize to anyone who can provide documentation that beadlock wheels are in fact illegal. Its been 11 years and nobody has claimed that prize.

If you are so sure of yourself you should be able to find something. Right?

There cannot be any air in that tire in the pic. Not possible! Stand on the sidewall and take a pic!

Like i said. The tires are mounted incorrectly. To actually USE the beadlock, you have to physically put the bead of the tire between the rings. You seem to be the one who doesn't get it. Hence all the confusion by everyone else.

There must be a lip or something that the tire sits under without the bead lock there.

Yes, like a conventional wheel, the tire bead is supposed to sit on the outside face of that with a beadlock.

Like ive been saying this whole thread. You have the tires mounted wrong, they are in no way "locking" your bead. Not everyone here is an idiot. The outer bead belongs on the outer side of that lip and not inside it.you are the one who is doing it wrong.

Could be a double lip. The "inside" lip is what it's mounted on top of but there is a secondary lip under the bead lock ring the keeps the tire like it is like a normal rim and then the bead lock goes over it. Need more pics of the wheel to verify. If it's mounted under that inside lip I don't think it would even hold air or balance correctly. Although if he had swampers with 1in thick sidewalls I don't know if they would even fit between the two lips.
