well. it may not hurt anything. depends on how the beadlock is made. usually they take regular wheels, grind down the outer lip and weld the ring on. there isnt as much surface area seating the tire and you may run into issues with the tire sealing down the road, and the wheel slipping inside the wheel, or damaging the bead of the tire if it slips off that lip.

BUT WHY DO YOU WANT BEADLOCKS IF YOU ARENT GOING TO USE THEM CORRECTLY AS BEADLOCKS?

Well as of now i cant really do anything about it I don't have the cash or time to fix it. And I've been on 3 wheeling trips and 3 months of driving with no problems

doesn't take any money, maybe a couple hours of your time, if you dont have an instruction sheet with the torque specs and sequence, get them. good luck

I would say it is kind of dangerous as the bead side (outside) of the wheel has no place for your tire to set when aired up. Taking turns risks rolling the bead right off the rim as the bead has no bead to mount on to on the rim.

a few tire irons providing the outside is the short side of the rim will allow you to pull the bead cover and mount correctly

People do ask questions. LOTs of questions. Most of which can be answered via the WWW.

There's nothing wrong with the question you asked.

You got an answer didn't you? There was just mass confusion, denial, comedy and maybe some romance all rolled into the final outcome of realization that your 'friend' is a moron.

Honestly, I think you should do it.

It won't cost a dime, you can do it yourself and you will appreciate what you have... No pointing out that you'll actually know how they work...

I'll bet they'll give you a line of BS about not doing it because it's not legal.
