i paid 700 for him to build mine. then billy came to my shop to burn it in for the cost of a 12 pack.

shhhh, it's not exactly like claytons, but close eye, it's damn close.
how many ways can there be to building the best design.

Seriously, it pisses me off to no end that people expect you to reinvent the wheel and if you dont then you copied someone.

Oh **** he uses almost the same angles!

Staangs kit in my opinion looks stronger, i've never looked at it in person but even if its a direct copy... Staangs is lifetime warranty no BS.. Claytons isn't so therefore its better.

I just put a BDS long arm on mine and it went on pretty easy and rides a ton better. Flexes like no tomorrow. I have bilstien 5100 on it. I sure hope they don't give me any grief if I have warranty issues with any thing. I gOt the one with Johnny joints. But they only put Johnny joints in one end. Nice stuff I can tell so far

the clayton stuff is excelent. I like them also because they are a local (to me) small business that is still run by the owner. I have a friend who is a welder there also. although this does not affect my choice.
I used clayton for the first time years ago, and they pioneered a lot of the jeep stuff. They will always get my vote.

Both are nice kits. But im partial to T&T Customs kit.

Or just there Long Arm Up Grade Kit if that's all you need.

I'm glad I read this thread as I had heard of Staang's Fab, but didn't realize it was only 2 hours from me..

I went with Clayton's 6.5" and Bilsteins. It's going in tomorrow. I will have a write up tomorrow.

mine went in, in less than half a day. most time spent was cutting off the stock mounts.

the weight coming down on the tires is enough to shift the axle hard enough to bend a control arm mount.
hell, just wheeling it will bend the flimsy stock lower control arm mounts.

If you have the correct tools there is no reason why it should take longer then 6-8 hrs.. and that is for a complete kit.

If your rig has bolts as rusted as mine....yes it will, especially the rear.
