i have my 96 xj and am planning on doing a bastard pack, considering i found out how cheap my jy's prices are, i can get a full set of everything for 100 dollars. i need to know what trucks suspension will give me the most lift possible and if itll just be bolt on installation. please keep in mind this is my first time doing this so.....
also is there anything else i should get while im there

 

Its pretty simple to do honestly, I am no professional but I have done this twice now on two different jeeps and got about 4-4.5 inches of lift out of them. The springs on my jeep are out of a 00 s-10 and my friends were 99 s-10 springs. If you have stock springs you will need to drill out your center pin hole to 3/8th inch and obviously cut the eyes off of the donor springs. I used another xj pack with my stock one and got 3"...FYI...rides well and handles load nicely too.
