Default Basic long arm?

I'm possibly looking at a long arm for a 99. Cav fab or Clayton, pending funds and design ability.

does a long arm kit put less stress on the chassis than a short arm?

manly I want more flex with ease.

I believe the answer to your question is yes, less stress on the chassis.

With a well designed kit and proper install yes, it's less stress on the chassis in the long run. As a long arm kit will eliminate your lower control arm brackets it removes that stress point all together.

I have been very happy with my Clayton long arms. Built well. I think the square arms are more stable for sliding across obstacles.

yes its less stress.

also simply bolting on long arms will not automatically get you "flex with ease". you need to make sure other components are up to snuff. Shocks, trackbar, draglink, brake lines...

let me clarify: I'm on 33s with flares, all lines extended, 3.5RE lift with bilstein shocks. Current Re track bar about to be replaced with a double sheer, drag/the are moog ZJ upgrades. Drive shafts are stock. Bump stopped.

along with easier flex I would like the ability to have adjustable arms.

What are your experiences with the clearance on these kits, I was considering either fabbing a whole subframe to mount these to up inside my frame rails VS having ng hem hang down?

I'm a huge fan of building a whole sub frame even if it causes you to lose ground clearance. this way you leave tons of room for your exhaust and you can even add a 4 link to the rear which I would highly recommend as well. flat belly is the best way to go, I'd 100x prefer that to having some donkey d**k control arm mounts hanging off the bottom just waiting to grab onto rocks

I'm talking like a 3x2 subframe attached beneath the factory uniframe. if you have the patience to tuck one up inbetween the rails props to you, but in my experience it gets a little too tight in there. something like the TNT kit is pretty tight and it still went slightly below my frame rails and I loved that setup

Ifbu could weld that seems like the best option, however I'm without the ability.

Nice pan though!

EDIT: not trying to hate on it btw. different applications for different folks and I'm sure it was cost effective. although I do worry about that flat plate flexing around
