Default Baseball Card When I Sound Right

I recently started having a problem where when I turn right it will continue to make a sound like a baseball card in a wheel spoke that comes from underneath my center console area. I can not find what is happening at all. Is it a bad steering component? Recently changed out my bad 242J TC with a new one that has the Hack n' Tap installed. BUT it only makes the noise when I turn RIGHT, and will go away when I turn the jeep to the left such as when I switch lanes to the left. Anyone else have this problem?

Couple of things to check, when you changed the transfer case, 1) is the fluid level correct and the correct fluid, and 2) is the shift linkage adjusted correctly? Sounds a little like the case is not completely engaged into gear. I can't explain the right turn only noise other than maybe just a different loading on the drive train.

Just a thought. Maybe worthless but when your scrambling...thoughts help. Good Luck and keep us updated.

Happy Jeepin'

There wouldn't be a locker in the front would there? I have heard they can give problems with a 242 sometimes.

No locker in the front sadly. Ordered some new U-Joints for upfront and will probably crack open my front diff this weekend. Probably open up my T-Case next to see if the chain is stretched or to see if there is any chunky soup in there.
