This maybe be a dumb question but I'm ordering some today. I'm sure that they are all the same but is any one brand better than another? I was looking at the JKS ones.

they're all the same design. It's just gonna be which ever you like more. Or, you can make your own using the stock rear sway bar mounts if you still have them

There were some discussions about how different BPE's hold the shock in 1 of 2 ways, pretty much a 90* difference in rotation of how the shock sits in it. Basically it came down to one of the designs(which is how the rear sway mounts are IIRC) holding the shock "twisted" and causing it to possibly bind up a bit. The other design holds the shock more inline with itself.

Might seem a little confusing w/out pictures or anything, but search around and I'm sure you can stumble across it. I think JKS was good, and I believe the RC design was "correct" as well.

In my opinion i would go with either stock sway mount,IRO,zone,etc... bar pin eliminator kit. Those options will allow you to remove the shock without removing the mount. JKs requires total removal since it install on the shock and mounts like a bar pin shock.

I think the way the swaybar mounts hold the shocks is the mounting bolt through the shock will be inline with the axle as in left to right. the JKS mounts front to back so that may be where the bind comes in. I use the JKS and have not had any issues or shock failures or bind in a couple years.

How much movement does the axle move forward and reverse though. For that matter side to side.

I got mine from Iron Rock and so far haven't had any issue.

stock sway bar mounts in mine work well enough i have not noticed any binding in the shocks.

By the pics on the rear it does not look like there is much of a problem. I was thinking more the front and the way the front travels. I did not even think about them on the rear.

X2 me neither, works great....only thing that sucks is cutting a hole in the floor board, nothing jb weld can handle though!

I believe the fronts stay in line with most of the kits. I know that the IRO kits do.
