Default Backward Control Arm?

Thanks for any help. I've just noticed while trying to figure out some alignment problems, that the previous owner who installed the lift installed a pair of offset lower control arm, but on the driver's side the offset is at the frame while on the passenger's the offset is at the axle. I don't think it's supposed to work like that (I'm wondering if it has anything to do with it's pulling to the right) but I don't know which end the off set is supposed to go.

Passenger's side axle

offset should be at the axle for better droop.
