Default backspacing question

i have a 98 xj with a 3 inch RC lift. I am going to order 31 10.5 yokahama geolanders from summit racing today and i am also going to order summit wheels. the wheels i want have a 3.75 inch backspacing. I am wondering if that will be okay with my rig and will it rub? because i dont want to cut my fenders.

That backspacing is probably gonna crunch your fenders if you offroad at all. This is 33x12.5 on 3.75 backspace, they stick out a good 3-4 inches. You should wait for input from others though, as I've never ran your setup, might not rub at all, I'm just guessing. 10.5 wide tires on the same backspace would be roughly 1" less sticking out.

Get 30's if you don't want it to rub. I just posted this on another forum: it's not always about trying to fit in the biggest possible tire. I tried to do the same with a 4" lift on 32 11.50 on 3.75 backspacing and had to trim when I didn't want to.

I'd guess if you go out maybe 3/4" backspacing out from stock you might be able to fit those tires. Having never run that setup I couldn't tell you for certain though.
