Default ba 10/5 to internal ax15 to external ax15

I've got a line on a internal slave ax15 for a decent price but the synchros need to be replaced, I'd want to rebuild it anyway before putting it in but In theory I'd be able to convert it to an externally mounted slave using a different bell housing + finding a clutch fork, and new master cylinder and what not. Correct?

You also need an external slave bearing...part # 18887.03
You can buy new/used/ or even get them out the Jy off of 2wd vehicles...
You can also find them not only in xj/yj/tj
You can also find them in dodge Dakotas...
Left is external slave where the throw out bearing slides on
The right is the internal Slave bearing

Make sure you get the correct pilot bearing for your swap...
There's guys that buy a pilot bearing and assume it will fit and would have problems just installing the ax15...measure the tip and research for the correct size and part#
