tell me if this is right, my book says 1988 4.0 had 210 ft lbs of torque at 2100 rpm. in 92 the specs changed to 225 at 4000 rpm. any engine builders out there that can shed some light on this for me? why the big difference, the bore and stroke isn't that much different so is it in the head flow? would I gain a lot by putting the 94 head on my 88? and if so the 4.56 gears would give me 3212 rpm at 65 mph before over drive and that is way under the advertised torque curve for the 94 and over for the 88. in fact the stock 3.55 gears give me 2501 rpm at 65 before over drive but it sure doesn't pull very well there.
