thx for the input guys...and no not locked right now...d30 c8.25 open on 35" mtz...

heres what i plan to do so you get an idea...

-strip floor completely and re-do it to mint finnish
-re-inforce uniframe
-2x6 rockers
-partial or roll cage for frame/unibody stability
-complete steering overhaul(psc)
-high steer
-upgrade cooling system(rad, fans, pump)
-put in solid diffs(unbreakable preferably, lol)

now this is just the stuff i can think of off the top of my head...but i plan to start with the floor/body first, but by spring i would like to have the diffs and ready to install. after diffs are in i would like to do the steering, and so on...

to me the diffs are a taboo, dont know much about swap options or strength, thats why i turn to you guys, this is the only forum i go to that ppl are willing to help and KNOW what they are talking about....

now i know all the stuff i entioned above is alot of time, money and work, but i figure over the next year or 2 i should be able to get it done....and ill keep coming back here for advice from you guys....

edit: forgot to mention that the tj d44 i was talking bout is a g2 d44 for tj...here is the link.... http://www.sdlsuspension.com/promo_2011_4.htm its a french site but shows the picks of the d44 diffs i was talking bout...

Those dana 44s do look perty. But In My Honest Opinion ... now remember one thing "Opinions are like a$$holes, everyones got one and they all stink". I would go full width Dana 60s front and rear.

it ends up costing more that way i find, and i dont think i want to experience some broken axles or what not in the middle of the woods in 4 feet of mud...and ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure...

I don't play in 4 feet of mud because mud sucks IMO. Rocks suck to break on, but at the same time a reasonably clean vehicle to still work on when something does break.

I would rather pull a complete axle assembly anyway, finding all the snap rings and clips and hardware when you get pieces can be a pain. I would pick the Width and axle type. then research what they cam in and go looking. most complete axles in JY's by me are $150-$200 each.
