Default Axle swap or new U-joints on stock axle?

Question is would it be cheaper for me to swap in a HP D30 into my 00 xj (needs nothing but dif fluid and sealed, as far as i know) out of a jy jeep...or just replace the U-joints in the knuckle (passenger side, the bearings are completely gone)...when i have it in park and spin the driveshaft, theres a good bit of play in the u joint and ball joint. It also audibly clicks when i turn, no indication of wear on the drivers side one!

I got the HP D30 for 100$...and i planned on swapping it in soon anyways, just kind of wondering what you guys though would be cheaper...I have a 3.5" lift if it matters, dont think the HP would do anything but help my angles.

Any info/advice is appreciated! Im short on spending cash right now...just bought my soon to be fiance' a ring on a college student income....the beginning of the end? Can't be worse than the jeep

Oh and I would be able to do the axle swap myself, but I think i'd prefer to pay someone to press the joints! So i guess thatd factor into the price!

Swap it, I swapped mine and its not a big difference, but if u plan on doing it anyway, why throw more money into the low pinion

I want to put a HP 30 in my 01 but the header looks like it might not play well with the center section.
