Default Axle degree shims. Different center pins?

I picked up a pair of axle degree shims for my 99 XJ. Now, my leaf springs are only a few weeks old.. Do I need to replace the centering pins??? And if so, do I need anything specific???

thanks guys

I would say no, they aren't torque to yield. I've done it before with no problems even a few months after install. I just hope you got steel shims, I went with aluminum for corrosion resistance, they were too soft, the center pins actually pulled through and cause the shims to shear out. I wish I had a pic because they actually ripped giant slots through the front. Which ultimately caused my pins to loosen, shift and break causing me to lose leafs driving down the road.

Always use new centering pins, u-bolts, and nuts.

no, your center pins should be fine. you are not taking apart your leaf packs.
mine were always long enough when i installed degree shims in the past.

however, you should use new u-bolts, but since your leafs are still somewhat new, i assume you used new u-bolts when you installed them, so i'd say you're ok, just watch your torque when tightening the nuts.

Personally i just use the biggest grade 8 bolt i can fit though the leaf springs and use that as a centering pin.

If his leaf springs are only a few weeks old I would guess the Ubolts are as well, no need to replace those...
