I am interested in doing the shift mod however I would like to use an additional stick for shifting like a joystick instead of buttons because I like the feel of using a stick. I would like to wire up something along the lines of this (this is an example to visualize it) and be able to use it like the more modern cars that have the tip-tronic feature in which you push the lever forward for an shift and backwards for a downshift. It would have to be a 2 way joystick I'm sure so it only goes forward and backwards and not side to side. I don't know how to wire this up to make it work. I would still have a rocker switch to switch between auto and manual and on other rocker to engage and disengage the torque converter.
