I bought the tyranny with a 242 case. Sold the tranny to a friend of the family only to find out that it shifts from first right into OD. The tyranny was checked at the dealer and they told him that it had an internal leak that was causing the issue. Has anyone ran into this and had it fixed fixed? I gave the their money back so I have a tyranny that either I'm going to scrap or fix if it's a easy and cheap fix. Thanks.

sounds like an issue with the TCU or a shift solenoid is bad. If the tranny is in the vehicle then you can unplug the TCU and see if you can shift it manually. if that works then the tranny is fine and all you will need is new TCU (transmission control unit).
