I've got those walmart lights as well and welded the brackets straight to my bumper. wiring isnt terrible either but i wired mine into my factory fog switch to look clean. I will post pic in a few...

only thing i hate about the factory fog switch is you cant run them with your high beams. I've never understood why all jeeps are made like that really

No, I plugged my wires into the switch and got rid of the factory harness there. Picked up power supply from the ACC port in the fuse box with the fuse between it in the switch, than ran the other wire through the firewall where the hood cable goes to bring the power to the lights. Now anytime the ignition the ignition is on, the lights can be turned on

thats ingenuity! Now i just wish i had a stock switch lol

There's no point in running real fog lights with high beams. If you need fogs, conditions are such that high beams will just cause glare and dazzle. If you need high beams, the fog lights are worthless, they don't throw far enough. Also most states have laws about how many lights may be lit on the front of a vehicle at the same time, so mfgrs. that include aux lights stock have to wire them up that way.

My factory driving lights are so bad that my fogs might be a hair brighter and I like the extra confidence of having light in case I need it. Visibility is not an option and so even on back roads, I will even kick my roof lights on to held spot for deer in some field areas too...

state law for most states is you can have 4 driving lights.

Here is mine all lit up with the fogs from walmart as well as my roof lights from harbor freight.
