Default auto tranny shifting pproblems

I have a auto 2001 cherokee lifted and what not but this weekend i got stuck and about 4" of water came inside after that i drive down the road and it doesnt want to shift, 2,3 and 4th shifts hard and it wont shift unless its red lined. It only shifts into 4th sometimes and i cant get 5th. Think my tcm got wet? i took it out and its in a heated garage by the woodstove hopefully it dry our or ill be going to the junkyard. But before i start buying parts is that it most likely is?

thanks for the input its apreciated

I wish i can help ya but im not an expert. In my 95 aut trans i think is a Aw4 have a similar problem would not shift automatically i have to shift it manual. It result being the tcm located under passenger side console. I replaced with a jy "new" one so far problem solved. But i don't think yours is located in the same spot. I hope someone can help you better!

tryed multiple tcms, not that so next is coil pack. Noticed that like when ur crusing and floor it it wont down shift either, so idk i think my coil pack has been going for a few weeks so i think im gonne try that with new plugs and see how it is. Just Empty Every Pocket

tryed coil pack today not the problem. So im thinking it might be the solenoids on the tranny so i know a guy who knows jeep trannies inside and out so im gonne have him drive it tomorrow so i can narrow it down and get this thing fixed and back out on the trail.

TPS(Throttle Position Sensor) gone bad sounds like the culprit to me.
