Aussie locker install question

Default Aussie locker install question

Ok so I am having my axles regeared and aussie lockers front and back. The guy doin it said he couldn't get the axle keeper back in the front locker.. It's like this little c clip lookin thing that i have never heard of.. does this sound normal? he said there is absolutely no way to get it in there.. ?

Do you not have a Dana 30 front? As far as I knew all Cherokee Dana 30s were non-c clip

Yeah Hoopers right should be a d30 and no c clip.Only reason I can think for it to not go back in is if the spacer cups are backwards in the locker.The opening of the cup should face toward the axle

Or maybe he tried to install the locker with the ring gear still bolted to the carrier and now can't get the cross shaft and roll pin in.I had to pull my ring gear off the carrier to do mine because of the thickness of the ring gear .

Scary that he would have trouble with the locker if can do gears

Yeah I hope it all works ok :-/ he has done some work for me before and has done well.. I would have dropped the locker in myself but I don't have the tools and know how to set up gears..
